S3 Browser

A commercial (free for personal use) client for MS Windows which can manage files stored in a variety of different object stores, including Catalyst Cloud.

It is available from https://s3browser.com/ .

Please note, for commercial use of S3 Browser, you need to may an annual license fee to the author.

Configuration steps

Once you’ve downloaded and installed S3 Browser, to configure it for use with Catalyst Cloud:

  1. Accounts -> Add new account

  2. Display Name: Set a suitable name (you can have multiple accounts)

  3. Account type: select “S3 Compatible Storage”

  4. REST Endpoint: select a “s3” URL from Application programming interfaces (APIs), if using single region replication, please select a URL that matches the region you’re using.

  5. Access Key & Secret Access Key: EC2 credentials (you may wish to create a dedicated user).

  6. Select “advanced settings”

  7. Signature version: select “Signature V4”

  8. Select “Close”

  9. Select “Add new account”

You should now be able to connect to the account and then browse, upload, download etc. You may occasionally receive errors that some functionality isn’t supported.
